Not sure what to say?

I will always remember Mr. Standard for, of all things, sentence diagramming. His teaching allowed me to take advanced English courses at FSU and beyond. I am very thankful to have had him for a teacher. 8th grade English in 1974, Thank You!

I am from Middle like and though I don't believe I had Mr. Stander in class. I do remember him. Sorry for your loss. Hicks class of seventy eight

My family moved across the street from the Stander family in 1954. Jim and I went on many bike rides together to Johnson Park buying a nickel coke at the bottling plant near John Ball Park as well as to Lamont. We played endless catch with a softball with no cover. Matt and Jeanine
We are sorry to hear of Jim's passing. We have many fond memories of working together at Thornapple Kellogg Middle School with your father.
We had many laughs together over the years.
A special joy was to have both of you in our classes!!

I forgot to add my name in my recollections of living across the street from Jim on Haines.

My sincere sympathy on the loss of your father, a truly gifted man who loved teaching and left wonderful memories behind, a legacy to be sure. You all have so many good memories to be shared and remembered. May God give you peace and comfort at this difficult time.

So sorry to hear of Jim's passing. He was one day older than my brother and our family lived around the corner from Haynes where he grew up.
I also graduated from high school with Gwen, Many many years ago we all grew up together. God bless all of Jim's family and best wishes from Grand Rapids Mi.
