Not sure what to say?

Frank and Clea--I am so glad that I was able to visit with your father last October when I was in Ohio. It was strange to see his white hair and thicker waistlilne, since my memories of him are mostly from my childhood, when he was lanky and dark haired. However, his impish grin and quick laugh were unchanged. I, too, became interested in Spanish because of his time in Peru, and remember our family sitting together to listen to the records and repeating the phrases and words--"uno, dos,...

I'm deeply sorry for the loss of Great Uncle Jim, my sincere condolences.

My husband and I were lucky enough to have bought Mr. Stanton's family home in 1994 - the one built for his aunt in the neighborhood that his father developed. That's not typically grounds for feeling connected to someone, but in our case we've been emotionally tied to the man ever since.

The distinctive work that his brothers did when building the house and, even more so, the truly unique artistry he showed when remodeling and adding to it, are precious to us. Not only did we always...

You don't get very many Great Uncles in life, I would have loved to have known him better.

May the love of friends and family carry you through your grief.

Dear Frank and Clea, Please know how sorry I am for your loss. Uncle Jim was a memorable guy. He and my dad did not always see each others good points but the family love was still there. His trip through Texas was so informative for us since he brought copies of letters that Dad wrote during WW11 and then he deciphered them for us and explained what much of it meant. I think all us kids have copies of those letters to remind us of our dad and without Jim bringing them to us we would...

I remember all the great presents he brought back from Peru while he was in the Peace Corp. We had interesting stories to tell our friends as to how we got this neat stuff! I'm glad he was able to 'fill me in' on some things I wasn't able to ask my own Dad about because I failed to ask my Dad while he was alive. I know they irritated each other at times, but thats par for the coarse with family. I know he missed my Dad and uncle Bill. We'll miss the 'good stuff' of Uncle Jim as well. An 'old...

Certainly will miss Uncle Jim. He was a walking encyclopedia.
