James Franklin Stewart

December 25, 1951 - May 19, 2017 Frank Stewart, 65, of Los Angeles, California, passed away on May 19, 2017. He was born in Americus, Georgia, on December 25, 1951, the son of James Edwin and Carolyn Franklin Stewart. An attorney by profession, Frank also loved and was active in the International Thespian Society for over thirty years. Frank held degrees in Political Science from the University of Georgia, Theater from Northwestern University, Law from the University of Virginia, and most recently a degree in Theology. He was a lifelong member of Northview United Methodist Church in Warner Robins, Georgia, and was also a member of All Saints Episcopal Church in Beverly Hills, California. He is survived by his brother and sister-in-law, Mike and Jeanette Stewart, of Hickory, North Carolina, and their sons, Brian and wife Lee, and children Bradley and Sullivan Stewart, of Lexington, South Carolina, and Michael, and his wife and son, Susan and Clayton Stewart, of Lincolnton, North Carolina. Arrangements are handled by Pierce Brothers Westwood Village Memorial Park and Mortuary, Los Angeles, CA and Watson-Giddens Funeral Home & Crematory, Ellaville, GA.
