Mary and family -

May God's blessings be with each of you in this time of grief.

Jim Stites was a wonderful and charming gentleman, who spent much of his life quietly serving others. Although he never sought recognition or credit for his public service for our community, repeatedly Jim earned it as he left his mark on Louisville.

Along with dozens of young lawyers Jim mentored, I will always be grateful for his help, encouragement and support as well as the thoughtful...

My thoughts and love go out to the entire family at this difficult time.

Our love to you all. With fond memories of Jim,

Kerry Dinneen and Sam Sutphin

Of the 12 years I worked at Stites, I had the pleasure of assisting Mr. Stites on those few days he returned to the office before completely retiring, and I must say that he was quite possibly the kindest man I ever met. I am privileged to have known him. You have my sincere sympathy for this great loss.

All of us who work at the Waterfront Development Corporation remember fondly Jim's support and affection for the Park. He was there at the start of this project and his belief that it could happen helped make it the reality it is today. What a good and kind man. His passing is a loss for all the community. Thank you to the family for letting us all share in his life and allowing the Waterfront to be a way to honor him.
