I remember the first time that I met Jamie back in May of 2002. He was leading a 6 mile run down Ardennes street back in Fort Bragg, NC. I have to be honest, my first impression of Jamie is that he was a hell of a runner. He came to our platoon later on that summer. As I got to know him better I understood that he was a regular person with tremendous ambitions and aspirations.
