James W. Stovall Sr.

On Wednesday, July 22, 2009 James W. Stovall Sr. of Charlottesville, entered into eternal rest. He was born on October 9, 1939, to the late Solomon and Gladys Stovall.

He was educated in the Albemarle County Public School system. He was employed at Jim Price Chevrolet for over 20 years until his illness.

James is survived by four sons, James W. Stovall Jr. and his wife, Ginger, Jeffrey W. Stovall and his wife, Felicia, Reggie Martin and Mark Christmas, all of Charlottesville; three daughters, Linda Christmas, Lynn Martin and Ronda Sandridge, both of Charlottesville; his companion for 25 years, Mary Sandridge, his ex-wife Elizabeth Stovall both of Charlottesville; four brothers, Fred Stovall, Lloyd Stovall, Ted Stovall and his wife, Carolyn and Charles Stovall; four sisters, Patricia Jelks, Marilyn Feggans and her husband, Adolph, Vennie Stovall and Ethel Grimes and her husband, Ronnie; two aunts, Virginia Nelson and Nettie Conway; six grandchildren, Jeffrey and Nicole Stovall, Kwamane, Shaquna, Nakia and Gemayel Sandridge; and a host of other relatives and friends.

Funeral services will be held 12 p.m. Monday, July 27, 2009, at Middle Oak Baptist Church with the Reverend Patricia Whindleton officiating. Interment will follow at the church cemetery.
