Not sure what to say?

I am sorry to learn of Cliff's passing. I had been thinking about Cliff for some reason and had not been in touch with him since high school. Cliff was a very good basketball player. He was a starting guard on a team that went undefeated his senior year. Cliff was always funny but focused. He was a memorable person from my high school years. I wish his wife and family my deep condolences. Cliff was a guy we all respected. With warm regards, Paul Richardson

Just heard the sad news today. Such a beautiful neighbor and soul. Both Cliff and Paula welcomed us to the neighborhood in Santa Rosa. We both had something in common, serving in Vietnam. I recall the time we were invited to their home for dinner and wine and just great conversation. Rest in peace Cliff..our hearts and minds are with Paula during this time. Ed and Ruth Contreras

Such an incredible human! I love you and will miss you my beautiful friend! I am so sorry!

The Strothers and we were part of a social group years ago. When our children attended elementary school, Cliff donated a Quit Smoking course to a fund raiser. I bought it for my husband who was resistant. Cliff chuckled and said, "Just get him there." My husband went and never smoked again. I will always be grateful to Cliff for donating it. He was a special person. To his family, I am so sorry for your loss.

Cliff was always a special person. I worked with him for a while at Santa Rosa Memorial Hospital, where he was always "upbeat" despite the issues. Later we maintained a social relationship where his welcoming personality continued to shine. Visiting Cliff and Paula at their art studio revealed Cliff's deep devotion to his veteran Army friends. Condolences to Paula and family. Cliff will be remembered as a bright light for many.

Paula, So sorry to hear of your loss. I enjoyed my years of teaching with you and want you to know you're in my thoughts and prayers.

I had the distinct pleasure of knowing and working with Cliff during our respective careers at Santa Rosa Memorial. Always professional, yet armed with sharp intellect and a witty sense of humor (Monty Python was a favorite of his), he found humor as a release from the pressures of his taxing job. God Bless You Cliff. -Mike Lindsay

What a perfect description of Cliff... "so decent, funny, kind, and mostly, a wonderful human being". Thank you for this and for writing out the names of all of Cliff and Paulas children and grandchildren. One of my favorite memories of Cliff are how lit up and happy he would get when any one of them were coming by for a visit. I feel so lucky to have known this wonderful human being
