SULLENGER, James - Of Tennessee, formerly of Flint, age 77, died Wednesday, November 4, 2009 at NHC in Franklin, Tennessee. Funeral service will be held at 1pm Saturday, November 7, 2009 at the Swartz Funeral Home, 1225 West Hill Road, Bill Maguffee officiating. Burial in Flint Memorial Park. Visitation 12 noon - 3 p.m. and 5-8 p.m. Friday at the funeral home. James was born in Flint, Michigan on October 29, 1932, He served in the U.S. Army during the Korean Conflict. On December 27, 1952 he married Joyce Thompson in Flint. He enjoyed long walks with his wife, Joyce and his family. Surviving are daughter, Darlene Vinton of Tennessee; son, James L. and wife Linda of Flint; six grandchildren, Corey, Ryan, Chad, Mary, Bethany and Justin; five great-grandchildren; sister, Joyce Ann Alfonso; sister-in-law, Ann Rudolph of Swartz Creek; two brothers-in-law, Robert and wife Hazel Thompson of Flint, Charles and wife Lillian Thompson of Mt.
