I am deeply saddened to learn of Jim's death. I discovered his obituary yesterday when I looked him up to wish him a happy 50th. My deepest and heartfelt sympathies go out to the entire Sullivan family. He loved his daughters and family so very much. Jim was a good friend to me. Intelligent, compassionate, well read, so darn funny in so many ways, a deep thinking, deeply caring soul. We shared a love of music and Kurt Vonnegut among other things. My Uncle Jim was a reliable, persistent man who was a good father, a loving son, and a supportive brother. He was always full of advice to foster education and professional perserverance. Uncle Jim was very kind and calm- someone you could trust and feel comfortable being your true self around. There was a calm aspect to him that I will fondly remember when I would see him every Christmas Eve. I will miss him very much.
