James David Sumption

James David Sumption, 62, passed away on April, 19, 2014 following a brief illness. He was born in Wheeling, WV on September 16, 1951 to the late James Carl & Mabel (Ackerman) Sumption. James was a graduate of Tuslaw High School, Class of 1969. He was employed by Giant Eagle as a produce manager. James was a social member of the VFW. He had a great passion for hunting and fishing. He was never more alive than at these times. He is survived by his children, James Brian (Kate) Sumption of Columbus and Jeffrey David (Kelly) Sumption of Dayton; four grandchildren, Jakob, Stella, Braden and Connor; two brothers, Charles E. (Mary Ann) Sumption of Massillon and Clark (Lori) Sumption of Green; two step-sisters, Marcia Basham of Canal Fulton and Becky Kidd of Massillon; step-mother Carol Sumption of Massillon. A special thank you to lifelong friends, Danny & Vicki Kemp for the care and compassion they have shown. He was also preceded in death by his sister, Virginia Lee Sumption. Friends and family may gather at the Paquelet Funeral Home, Massillon on Thursday, April 24, 2014 from Noon -1:00PM with a celebration of life service to be held at 1:00PM.
