Not sure what to say?

We are so sorry. We would like to express our sorrow to Ann, George, and the rest of the family. May God bring you great comfort!!! Pat & Dianne Phillips and Family

I knew James and his sisters when we went to school in Cushing. Then I moved to Rusk and he did also and we went to Rusk High School. I remember him being so nice and polite and a wonderful football and basketball player. I will always remember James as a wonderful man.

Uncle Jim. you will surely be missed but your legend lives on. I'm sure my Mom Rosemary Swink Sandlin is with you and taking care of her little brother Jim. My granddaughter told me "the stars are opening in heaven where loved ones shine down."

What memories listening to Vern Tips on radio to TCU and nbr23 Jim Swink. It's too bad we don't have players of his character today. He was a class act. Thanks for all the memories. RIP Rusk Rambler.

Jeanne, I am so sorry for your loss. We worked together at Accelerated High School and New Lives. Let us know if there is anything we can do.

More than any academic or athletic accomplishments, Jim was most proud of his three boys: Jed, Dan, and Charlie.I have never seen anyone more excited than Jim at the birth of his sons. He was a great surgeon and physician. He had great compassion and a special touch. He will be greatly missed. He was my best friend.

I worked at Huguley many years ago when Dr. Swink was in practice. He was always so kind and never put h itself above you. Later he was my physician and had such a great bed side manner. His office staff was always so kind, we found that to be a complete reflection of the person that he was. I remember my misbrand and I trying to engage him in a conversation about his football career and he acted like it was not a big deal but we knew better. RIP Dr. Swink
