Not sure what to say?

Dear Dr. J F Symes' Family,

I was indeed a sad day to learn the premature death of Dr. J F Symes.

I worked with him in his clinical research protocols when he was at the Miami VA medical center.

He was an exceedingly a gentle, polite and an efficient and caring medical professional.

He was one of my professional references for my successful application for an employment at the University of Miami. I remain grateful ever for his magnanimous gesture to spend his...

I just found out about Dr. Syme's death. He saved my life in 2009 at the Miami VA. Just this week a cardiologist in Naples after a heart cath told me the bypasses he constructed were "perfect". My tears are very late but my thanks will never be lost. David Davis

Deepest condolences to you and family.
My dear husband Kenneth Marlow (1935-2015) underwent a five-artery by-pass in May 1986 at the Royal Victoria Hospital in Montreal. He gave my dear husband, father, grandfather 29 years extra of a beautiful life. We were married for 55 wonderful years. Just want to say "thank you" to James, to you and family. Hugs, Edna & Family

On the 7th of March 1996, Dr. James Symes performed a 5xCABG on me at St. Elizabeth's, which gave me, so far, 20 more very good years of life. He must have done it right, since it's still ticking strongly. Coming up on the 20th anniverary, I was thinking to write and thank him, only to find his death notice. Sad that I didn't think to write sooner. I only recall meeting Dr. Symes twice (while awake), once before surgery and once a few weeks after. He seemed to me a quiet and rather shy...

you will never to be forgotten you saved my life with open heart surgery on day micheal jackson died. I was at VA 8/30/15 and they were talking about you with great pride and how great it was to be associated with you.Thank you and hope you are doing good along god's side.

I want to thank all of you that have written such loving and kind words about Jim! He was the kindest, most generous loving person that I've ever known, and I was blessed to spend the best 35 years of my life with him! Thank you all so much for your loving remarks, he loved you all!

Dear Joanne,
I just heard the sad news about Jim. It is so hard to know what to say at this very sad time. Sometimes it helps, if only a little, to know that your friends are thinking about you. My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family. With deepest sympathies, Christine (Brodeur) - When you are feeling up to it, I would love to hear from you. [email protected]

Dr. Symes did 4 bypasses on me in 2012 at the Miami VA Hospital and I couldn't help but be impressed by his gentle and kind demeanor. He made me feel completely at ease. The world has lost a world class surgeon but most of all a great human being. I was shocked and very sorry by your passing Dr. Symes. My condolences to his family.

sorry to hear this haven't really talked to Jim since our days at school but we were three of us who went to Nassau one Christmas and I am the only one left ?
