Wow when he walked in the room, he just had a presence about him and he looked so much like my grandfather's picture, I never met my granpa, so I jokingly said to Rev. Tanner...

To the Tanner family, we will truly miss the love and wisdom of my friend, brother and mentor. There will be no others like him and I count my life blessed for having the all to few moments to be with him and to learn from him. I will always love him and carry him in my heart all the days of my life. God bless all of you and may we hhold on to his wonderful life and the assurance of a glorious heavenly reward.

He helped to make the world a better place and how better to do that than to dedicate your life to quality education for all students. Your legacy will live forever. Our love to the family. Bert and Patricia Ogden, Pittsburgh, PA.

Here, there's no more tears of sadness; here is just eternal love.

Please do not be unhappy just because I'm out of sight.
Remember that I'm with you every morning, noon and night.
That day I had to leave you when my life on earth was through,
God picked me up and hugged me and He said, "I welcome...
