I would like to offer condolences to Jims wife and family. He was a special person and when I worked with him at WJAR he helped me get through a very hard time in my life. My first husband was put on a liver transplant list due to a rare liver disease. He received a transplant after waiting for 3 years but at that point his body was too sick to recover so he passed. Jim was a great journalist and was well respected by everyone who knew him. I met him when I worked at channel 10, many years ago. My sympathies to his wife, Laurie, and his entire family. May he rest in peace.

Always admired his work. Bumped into him at the airport one morning and he graciously spent time chatting with me. Truly one of the good-guys of his profession. My heart goes out to his family, friends and colleagues.
