The word that comes to mind when I think of Jim is gracious. It flowed from a thoughtful, gentle Christian belief that he shared in Bible studies when all of us lived in Whitehall. He was always present to people with an open interest and quickly offered help whenever he could make a difference. His hugs and handshakes were vibrant and welcoming.
