Dr. Thompson was one of my favorite teachers while at UAB. He always seemed to appear to have a smile on his face, and loved teaching. We were all blessed to know him and have Dr. Thompson as a teacher.

I came to the UAB School of Education in 1984 and James graciously reached out to me to help me get acclimated to academia and introduce me to personnel in local schools so that I could begin to establish working relationships with constituents.
