James Morgan Thorne, 46, of Independence, Mo., passed away August 25, 2010. Funeral services will be 10 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 28, at New Salem Funeral Home, (816) 796-8600. Visitation will be 9 to 10 a.m. prior to services. Burial in Mt. Washington Cemetery at a later date.
