Not sure what to say?

Jim was a warm, gregarious man who always brightened up the room. He and his family were practically part of my own as I grew up surrounded by love and support from everyone at Milwaukie UCC. I came across this memorial page as I'm scanning family photos including him, Jane and his family. Great memories of great people.

Uncle Jim was a very funny and happy person to be with. He always told us great stories about our dad and his two brothers growing up as children. He was a great calming source to me as my father, his brother Fred, was dying. Now he is back with his mom and dad and younger brother. I will miss him.

Dearest Tomlins,

We have wonderful, fond memories of your Father. Although we share your sorrow at this time of passing, we celebrate the contribution that your father has made to this world. Warmest, personal regards and strength to each of you.

I remember how much Don enjoyed going on Jim's hiking adventures, but most of all I especially remember what a wonderful service Jim gave at Don's funeral. My sympathies to his family.

Jim was like a father to me in some dark times in my life, my thoughts and prayers have always been with him & his family. you never forget the people you love.

Jim married us July 12, 1980 and we just celebrated our 30 years together. We went to church at UCC in Milwaukie back then. I am saddened to hear of his death, but also so please he is with the Lord. Praise God!

Jim taught me the meaning of a belly laugh. He was a fixture in my family. I will never forget his marrying me to my wonderful husband. He made three amazing women, all of whom are my heart friends. I loved him and cherished him, and will miss him. Thanks, Jim, for living.
