James brought so many of us together over the years, and some of us are still friends. He was an extraordinary gardener, and always willing to share his gardening secrets. To him, they weren´t secrets, just how you do things. He inspired me with his activism to be more active in social justice and inspired me to be honest with myself. I owe so much to you James. Thank you for being you and coming into my life.

James was an absolutely amazing person. Never a dull moment with him around. Whether we were at work, at dinner or just sitting around; life was always happier in his presence. An amazing cook, a hard workers, and one of the best friends I'll ever have. Miss you so much.

James means so much to my family. He helped get us through hard times with love and laughter. He will be missed, loved, and always remembered.

James was not only a friend, but he became family to us. Such a great person who will be greatly missed. Our sympathies to his family and friends. Rest in peace my dear friend.
