Not sure what to say?

I just came upon this 12 years later and thought I would put my 2 cents in from my family to Jimmy. Jimmy, you and my dad were both WWII combat veterans who came home and just got on with life and you both wound up in Pecos. I know ya'll were friends as much as you could be from church and business. I hope you are up there with God giving them some old Pecos spirit! Vaya con Dios amigo.

I just learned of Jimmy's passing this evening. A hug and a warm heart felt thank you for being a genuine friend. Peace be with you. Our love.

I am so sorry; we came right through Pecos on April 29. We searched the cemetery for my sister Kathleen's marker. We drove by Jimmy's house and the Presbyterian Church. I know that you have lost touch with me. I am just heart broken that I did not know how to find you all and attend the memorial service.

When I think of Mr.Toone, the work "Respect" comes immediately to mind. I knew him from my early church days and as the father of my good friend John. It is comforting to know that he knew Jesus and is with Him now. My condolences to the family.

Our prayers and thoughts are with you Jamie and family! God bless you!

Jimmy was a fine man and will be missed tremendously.

Mr. Toone is now catching up with all of his Masonic Brothers and his farmer friends up in Heaven. He was a good man.

Blessings to the Family and to ALL his many friends.... GREAT memories of going to the store with our daddy, Elmer Bechtel, and browse around the store as they were catching up on "Pecos" news.... Great Man, Great Friend, Wonderful Family.... Prayers are with you ALL!!! God be with you all in your time of need!! Love to All.. Mary Bechtel Smith

I have such fond memories of Jimmy. He was almost a daily part of my family's life through the 1950's. The store was on my way home to the farm from school and a place for a quick coke or a candy bar. He bought eggs from my chicken coop and kept me in pin money. A nicer man you would never meet. He was a friend to all he came in contact with. We are all the better for having Jimmy Toone in our lives.
