Not sure what to say?

Dearest Laura, I only today learned of the passing of James and am saddened by his passing and your loss. You were both lovable together and I pray that Jim is in a good place. RIP JAMES..... Joe Siciliano

I just heard this sad news. Jim and I were friends and college roommates who somehow lost touch in the 70's. I wish there was a way to learn more about his life post Villanova. Jim was a very nice, quiet but passionate guy. He introduced me to Neil Young, his favorite performer of the day. Hopefully someone will reach out with more about his life.

Dear Laura,

My deepest sympathies on Trotta's loss. I have fond memories of time spent with you both. It's been a long time, but I was trying to reach you because I received material from the 1970s at SUNY Cortland and thought I should check in on my extraordinary students. I looked up both your names and was shocked to read of his passing; please know I am thinking of you. When the time is right, I would love to hear from you.

Peace,

John

I was so sorry to hear of the passing of Mr. Trotta. I was fortunate enough to have both Mr. & Mrs. Trotta for English teachers at MVHS. Because of their love of literature I became an English major when I went to college. Because of their love of learning and their ability to make their classes not "feel" like work I became interested in education. Mr. Trotta inspired me, and I have been a 5th grade teacher since 2001. He will be missed, but not forgotten.

Jim was my Hockey Coach and was my Senior Advisor at Iona Prep. He routinely had a quiet, but strong and passionate demeanor.

You'll be missed Mr. Trotta.

Thanks for everything

Sean Guerin - Iona Prep class of 1980.

I worked with Jim at MVHS for many years. Though we were in different departments in a very big school, everyone knew what a good person Jim was. A quiet and respectful person who was loved by all. Thanks to people like Jim the world is a better place.

I consider myself fortunate to have taug and learned from James and Laura Trotta.
They taught several of my Dreamers in the I Have a Dream program.
Thank you sir for your presence, ear and advice. Most of thank you for your friendship Trotta! Rest in peace, Renaissance Man.

You taught an awesome video-arts class at Iona Prep in 1980. Wishing you Gods peace and grace, my fellow Villanova alumni. Mr. Trotta, you were a genuinely good guy!
