James was a lifelong friend and spent many memorable days with him and Robert Harrell in Huntsville and on Guntersville Lake and in Naples. I was always proud of his many successes in life because he truly did it on his own. He was brilliant, fun, loyal to the end, and a great friend. I will miss him
