James Calvin Tullous, 52, a resident of Russellville, died Tuesday, May 30, 2006, at his home. He was born January 20, 1954, at El Paso, Texas to Robert Jewel and Mildred Louella Derrick Tullous. He was the former owner of All American Roofing Company; was a member of the First United Pentecostal Church at Russellville; and was a United States Marine veteran of the Vietnam War. In his free time, he enjoyed playing his guitar, singing, and playing horseshoes. He was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers, Norman and Arthur "Oppie" Tullous. Survivors include his wife of 31 years, Marie Tullous of Russellville; three sons and a daughter-in-law, Joe and Heather Tullous of Atkins, Robert Tullous of Atkins, and Jamie Jackson of Russellville; three brothers, Wade Tullous of Dardanelle, Rod Tullous of Russellville, and Clint Tullous of Phoenix, Arizona; four sisters, Sharon Smith of Russellville, Robin Small of Appleton, Cheryl Adams of Calico Rock, and Kathy Brewer of Pottsville; and two grandchildren, Katelyn Tullous of Dardanelle and James Tullous of Atkins. The funeral will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, June 3, 2006, at the First United Pentecostal Church with the Rev. Tony Reynolds officiating. Burial with military honors provided by the V. F. W. Rogers-Rye Post 2283, will be in the Old Baptist Cemetery at Center Valley under the direction of Shinn Funeral Service. Active pallbearers will be Odie Hill, Bob Nordin, Jay Fondren, Ray Tankersly, Richard Houghton, and Earl Ferguson. Honorary pallbearers will be Jamie Willcutt, Gary Houghton, and Scott Deal. Visitation will be from 6 - 8 p.m. Friday, at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the First United Pentecostal Church; Post Office Box 2466; Russellville, Arkansas 72811.
