Wise Funeral Home - Bonham Obituary

Funeral services for James Arthur "Art" Turman, Jr., 53, of Gober, will be held at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, Oct. 19, 2011 in Gober Baptist Church under the direction of Wise Funeral Home. Rev. Lewis Smith will officiate. Burial will follow in Gober Cemetery. Art passed away Sunday, Oct. 16, 2011 at Red River Regional Hospital in Bonham.

Art was born Dec. 20, 1957 in Fort Worth, Texas, the son of Dr. James Arthur "Jimmy" Turman and Dr. Ira Nell Wigley Turman. He was a graduate of Commerce High School and attended Baylor University in Waco. Art married Debbie Leeman, June 21, 1986 at Gober Baptist Church. He was a systems programmer in the computer industry and loved technical things, especially Ham radios. Art was a member of Gober Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by his mother.

Daughter, Jennifer Turman Ryman and husband, Russell of Allen, TX,
Father, Dr. James Arthur "Jimmy" Turman of Austin, TX,
Grandchildren, Katie Anne Pippin and Terra Raven Ryman

Pallbearers will be Dale Ingram, Johnny Babers, Happy Wallace, Jeff Wallace and Derik Vaughn.

The family will receive friends at Gober Baptist Church from 10:30 a.m. until service time Wednesday
