Jim was a good friend that I always enjoyed working with at ARL. We always had a great time running and training for marathon runs.

He was such a great teacher, and a very intelligent person

As I struggled with G-Edit now I also fight with BIM. But Jim made it more fun and the coding work helped me to better understand it. Great memories.

I miss you. I'm sorry I didn't see you more.

I took a programming class of his around 1982. He passion and knowledge inspired me to go into the profession. He was clearly the best teacher I ever had!

I just learned the sad news about Jim. You have my sincere condolences.

Jim was my mentor and the person chiefly responsible for my career path. After taking his programming courses in Fall '78 and Winter '80, I worked very closely with him in the Architecture and Planning Research Laboratory (APRL) from Summer '80 until I finally left U-M for Hong Kong in '94.

Jim was a good friend and for many years we enjoyed working together. Sorry to hear he passed.

He was a great inspiration, I always looked upon and received a great deal of help in computers. As far as diplomacy I already excelled in that. LOL
