Very sorry for our loss. My son, Eddie Ritsema was a met him in the reserves and became friends. Eddie (101st) said he was a great guy and was glad to know him.

I am struggling to find the words to describe the man that James was & the profound impact he had on his friends. Loyal, kind, funny, selfless. A loving son, brother, husband, father, and friend to many. I have many fond memories of him and will do my best to focus on those, as he would want us to focus on the good times. We will miss you James. You were and always will be one of a kind.

My heart it heavy with this profoundly sad news. I coached some of the Twist children and had the great pleasure to know the rest of the family. My heart aches for James' suffering and for the immeasurable grief that his wife, children, siblings, father, and friends now are experiencing. Each of you are in my heart, my thoughts, and my prayers now and in the difficult days ahead. Sending love.
