I came to Standish Village from Longmeadow last year and met Jim. He was very friendly and we shared stories of Longmeadow with each other. He was a great ambassador. I gave him rides to the bank and store occasionally. He is missed.

I've known Jimmy since grammar school. We grew up in the same neighborhood in Longmeadow. We spent many a day hanging out at Jimmy's house in the day. He was my roommate at UMass in Amherst our senior year. We experienced our youth, laughing and getting into trouble quite often. We lost track of each other over the years, but I always considered Jimmy as one of my dear friends. RIP
