Not sure what to say?

The world still misses such a great person,

We miss you, Coach. You were a true leader and role model in every sense of the word. It is an honor and privilege to work in the gymnasium rightly named in your honor. Your legacy lives on in all of us.

Coach Tyree helped show hundreds of boys how a real man looked and acted. All those whose lives he touched were better for those lessons. More than 45 years later and I can still feel his influence.

Coach Tyree is one of the teachers you remember forever. One of my memories is from PE Class. There he stood with all his muscles telling the boys, "You will learn to square dance, and you'll have fun." And of course they did..

To this day I benefit from the life lessons I learned from coach Tyree. It was a blessing to have known him.

Nevertheless, even many months after Coach's passing, words and thoughts are still hard to express. I was with Rick Hanna and we both stopped by to see Coach at Silver Lake when I was in town last summer. He was his usual effervecent self.

To say he will be missed is stating the obvious.

God Bless and Keep you Coach!

I remember distinctly, after just a few minutes of small talk, your dad told your mom,"I'm going to marry you". And, he did. He wasn't one to mince words and was goal oriented. We had a lot of fun life guarding at Munroe Falls Park.
I even spent...

WHAT A GREAT PERSON TO HAVE GROWN UP WITH. COACH WAS NOT ONLY AN INSPIRATION BUT A GOOD FRIEND.
