Not sure what to say?

1996 to 1998 My husband and I lived in Raleigh North Carolina and then we moved out Of state two kids later they´re grown and here I am thinking with that Pastor Rob church was really good I remember him saying you need a check up from the neck up that was a famous thing in his sermons such a nice man with a good heart. I received a phone call and pastor said I heard you´re moving do you need any money to help you with the moving truck and I said I´m good and blessed what a saint who would...

a great papa. he was so close to the lord and now his is with Him what a blessing.

I was a secretary in the 80´s at Midway and was a member of the church for many years but I later moved to Florida. I was recently was in Raleigh and was told about his passing. It broke my heart because even though I have been away from Midway for over 30 years, I have always considered Pastor Upchurch my Pastor. He was a great Pastor, Family man and Friend. I know he is missed by thousands of people.!!

Mrs. Renie, Kenneth, Rena, and JoJo, I'm sending my sincere condolences. So sorry for your loss. I was at Midway from 1980-1982 with Deborah and Wayne Akins... JOY cometh in the morning.Warmest regards, Gladys Stroud

Preacher was such a great and humble leader. When we first attended Mid-Way Preacher, kept talking about this Pulpit and with his southern drawl we couldn't decipher what he meant for several weeks! Lol! He lovingly took the time to be in our children's dedication pictures. He certainly impressed me when he had a plan to get the church out of debt. He didn't just talk about, he worked the plan and we were there the Sunday that plan came together!! PTL!!! What a dedicated man of God!!Leatha...

When I think of Preacher, I think of I Corinthians 15:58. Steadfast, immovable..always abounding in the the work of The Lord. Preacher had a true burden for reaching souls..people..for The Lord Jesus Christ. There were times he would preach and want to re-preach the same sermon because he felt or thought folk just didn't quite get it. Who does that? Someone who loves and cares, that's who. He was a very honest, straight shooter. I will forever miss him..I think I kinda figured he'd always be...

Preacher, your wit and sense of humor will be deeply missed by all at MWB. Keep your mama company until the rest of us join you.

Thank you for preaching the word of salvation that saved Mack, Me and my sisters souls. Heaven is a more special place with you there now.

Love in Christ- Mack and Kelly Spainhour

I first met Pastor Larry when my Dad was the Pastor of Temple Baptist Church in Selma North Carolina. Brother Larry and my Dad became good friends. I was a teenager at the time.
Years later, Pastor Larry came to speak at Freedom Baptist in Goldsboro, NC
were I still attend. We were able to fellowship for a little while, what a joy. Pastor Larry was a dear friend and a wonderful man of God and so much more. He'll be missed here, but he's more alive now than ever before. Next time...
