Jim was a wonderful friendly guy who was open and kind to all. I remember him well and shared numerous classes with him. He was a unassuming but talented student and athlete. Not large in stature, but a tough football player. My sympathies to the entire family.

My prayers and care join the James Valenta family during this time. Jim was a Regis '61 classmate and our mothers were wonderful friends. Jim thought so much of his wife and family, including his children. Blessings and care ~~ Maurita

Jim sat behind me in study hall and we passed notes back and forth! He loved his girlfriend Carol and we chatted a lot about who I dated and Carol for him! A dear friend I treasured during high school! Later on my husband and I met them again marriage encounter weekend ! RIP Jim

I was so sorry to read that Jim died. I have fond memories of him as the best boss I've ever had. What a gentleman he was! And a fountain of knowledge. I'm thankful to have known him. My sincere condolences go out to Caryl and the extended family.
