My very first job was at The Across the street restaurant. And after college I had the chance to work at Throchtas! We decorated Harold's,Balliet's and 50 Penn Place for Christmas. When Jim opened the Silver Palm Room I had a meeting with him to determine where the Northwest Classen Cry-Slurs would be performing for a big conference (in the 60's). I was impressed as we walked through the kitchen with Jim's perfection and care of the food preparation. Sad to hear of Jim's passing. Many times I would visit Trochta, just to kid with Jim. he always had a great sense of humor.
