When Jim opened the Silver Palm Room I had a meeting with him to determine where the Northwest Classen Cry-Slurs would be performing for a big conference (in the 60's). I was impressed as we walked through the kitchen with Jim's perfection and care of the food preparation. As the years went on I met with Jim several times as the Cry-slurs continued to perform at his establishments. Sad to hear of Jim's passing. Many times I would visit Trochta, just to kid with Jim. he always had a great sense of humor.
