Not sure what to say?

Ellen, Young Jim, Shelia and family,
Fred was looking up The Steelhead Newspaper and he saw the obit about
Jim. We remember good times in Frankfort and the Florida Keys. We were shocked and your loss is shared by many who knew Jim.

Ellen, Jim, Sheila and family, I am so sorry for your loss, I have no words.. Jim was always so kind to me, Zach and Mallory. I will never forget how much that meant to me, he made us feel like we belonged. Truly a special man, he will be missed. Marjorie Grube, Zach and Mallory

Ellen, Jim and Sheila, I was sorry to learn today of Jim's passing. My thoughts and prayers go out to your entire family. I first met Jim, fresh out of college, when I joined in the South Kent AMBUCS, a non-profit service club that helps and serves individuals with disabilities. I used to call Jim 'Big Jim' - he was so tall. I loved his wonderful booming laugh. He was a great mentor in AMBUCS (American Business Clubs). We did a lot of good works and also had fun while we accomplished...

I am so sorry to hear about you losing your dad Jim, my heart aches for you, and of course for your family. Leisha just let me know. That Horrible COVID is our enemy right now, and I pray that you get well soon. I hope you can feel my loving hugs. ❤

You and your family are in our prayers. We have only known you for a few years through Ferry Memorial but we were confident in calling you friends. Your fish dinner with different county’s preparation style will never be forgotten. May our God grant you peace and comfort.

To the Family of Mr. James L. Vander Maas,

The membership of American Legion Post #234 in Hart, Michigan, would like to share our deepest sympathy with your family on your loss. Mr. Vander Maas’ service to our country makes him a hero as far as we’re concerned and certainly you’re very proud of him, too. We want you to know that his brothers and sisters in arms now share in your grief.

Warmest Regards and God bless you all.

Ellen, we lost a very dear friend November 25. We first met thru State Farm, both being agents. Our friendship grew and grew over the years, as we became fishing buddies in "The Keys" and in Michigan. We will miss our dining out times with you and Jim as we always cherished the time we were able to spend together. So so very sorry to hear of his passing. He will be missed and missed and missed again! Pam and I have been truly blessed to know him and will never forget the times we shared with...
