James Edward Vick

I work in the Shelby County Clerk's office in Center, TX. Jim worked in our office for several months, and he was one of our "favorite" landmen. He was always so pleasant and good humored, and he brought many laughs to our office. We are shocked to hear of his death, and we will remember Jim and his family in our thoughts and prayers.

I am indeed sorry to hear about Jim.The fact is I was shocked.

We were in the band together in High School and went to A&M together.We shared many good times together.

I had lost contact with Jim after I went into the Army in 1966. When I returned to Houston years later we had lost touch. I am sad that we were this close in proximity but had not met since then.

My memories of Jim will always be good and he will be in my prayers.

I was a classmate and friend of Jim's at Lamar. I remember him well and was thinking of him just last week, having no idea that he was ill.

The Lamar Class of 1959 is having an informal reunion on October 20th and I'm sure that you all have received the invitation. I will make it a point to share with our class members this sad news.
