Not sure what to say?

I worked with James many times in the past 16 years showing him new routes and riding on our buses with him. I had seen him pass through Central Station on many mornings on his way to the Salvation Army program after his retirement. His smile and kindness will be missed by many staff here at the Rapid. I hope you find comfort knowing James touched many lives in our community with his happy smile.

I knew James years ago when he worked at the Sunoco gas station at 68th and Division Ave. His job was to clean windows during a fill up. He made so many friends due to his wonderful smile and happy attitude. He was a special man.

I wish to express my deepest sympathy to the Vinson family and the Pilgrim Rest Inspirational Choir. James was truly loved by all of us. My prayers are with you.

To the VINSON FAMILY :
You are in my prayers, and remember God will give you strength, and comfort.

To the family of James Vinson

I have been acquainted with the Vinson family for almost 40 years. I remember Mr. & Mrs Vinson and how they raised a large family with a strong faith, genuine love, discipline. Mrs. Vinson was a sharp woman and Mr. Vinson was too. He was a wonderful man and father. Mr. & Mrs. Vinson (James' parents) loved Pilgrim Rest. In fact the we still have and use the Baptist Standard Hymnals donated to the church in the memory of Mr. Vinson.

Over...

Our prayers are with the whole Vinson family. May God bless and keep you all during this time of sorrow.

Estella & Gwen Walls

Our thoughts and prayers are with you in your time of grief. May your memories bring you comfort.

We all grew up together attending Pilgrim Rest, singing in the choir, car washes, dinner sales, etc. I will miss his smiling face and willingness to do whatever he could for anyone.

May your grief be short, but your memories be long and loving.

To The Family of Brother Vinson:

My prayers are with you. Brother James was such a nice person. He was always so polite and had a smile that would remind you that God is who He says He is!

When I remember the life of Brother James I think about life challenges that he faced everyday that we take for granted, but because of his love for God, they were overcome making him an example of the servant we should all be. This verse came to mind and I would like to share with...
