Not sure what to say?

We are saddened by the passing of our 'adopted grandfather'. We have fond memories of our visits and are thankful for the joy and companionship he shared with our family over the past five years. Our thoughts and prayers are with the Vivian family.

We are saddened to learn of the passing of Jim on February 15th. Jim was a great person and we enjoyed knowing him and especially Jim and Mary's visits to North Carolina and our visits to Phoenix and La Jolla. Jerry will never forget Jim's advice on how to make a golf shot between two tall pine trees...a lesson learned on the Nicklaus course in Wilmington, North Carolina. Your fond and loving memories will be with you forever.
Sincerely,
Joyce, Jerry and Family

My prayers to all of Mr. Vivian's family. You would not know us, nor would he for that matter but he touched our lives every time we saw him at mass. What a loving and peaceful man. His smile was always warm and his love and devotion to the Lord evident whenever he was at prayer. My daughters would see him make his way in and they would point him out to me for being "our friend". He always showed kindness to my 3 young daughters. I visited with him several times after mass and told him of how...

Rest in Peace Colonel. Although my memories are few, they are dear. Your legacy is rich and will be passed on to the next generation of Vivians.

In loving memory and honor
of our thoughtful Uncle Jim--
who served others
to the glory of God
and inspired us all.

With kindest regards,
niece Pam
and family

Our warmest condolences to all of the family and friends. We will miss one of my favorite Uncles and always remember the good times spent with him. He was an awesome, gentle, brilliant man who is loved dearly. Our good Lord now has a new Colonel in his army a little closer to him now. I'm sure he's ready to lead! We also remember Aunt Mary who shared the same birthday as Rob, coincidentally this same day February 18th.
