I was proud to work for General Walhleithner as part of his Logistics Team at Fourth Air Force. He was truly a great leader and an avid supporter of his enlisted personnel.

I was a Loadmaster in the 312th and the General was commanding the 349th. The General presented me with NCO of the quarter award...it was a great honor and pleasure to have him as my Commander. My heart-felt condolences on your loss.

the Lord be with you,

For those of us who worked with and for "General Jim", we know he was one who never let his rank go to his head. Even a he reached the pinnacle of his career as a "Two Star" as Commander, 4th Air Force, he always had a good word to pass on. He believed in recognizing his people and supporting us in the field. He will forever be in our thoughts and will be missed as a great commander and a good friend.

God Bless you all. We share your loss.
