Not sure what to say?

I am a first cousin. My mother was Billy's Dad sister. I know that you are in a better place.

I remember taking Dr. Walker's Intro to Criminal Justice Class 1981. His teaching was so superior, I didn't need to read the text Book. At some point in the class I begin to wonder, Did he write the text book? Then I begin to wonder, Was he reincarnated? Because he taught the class as if he was there. Do you remember Sir Robert Peel? To the family of Dr. Walker-
My condolences to you in your time of loss. I was so very privledged to spend three days a week last semester with Jimmy. And what a great great man. Not only did you never know what to expect from his comments to his clothing, not to mention your payment of a Mountain Dew for being tardy, but you also never knew what interesting thing he was going to teach you. He was a rare breed of teachers that not only inspired his kids, but made them want to come...

Dr. Walker was such an amazing teacher. I took his class last semester, and was so sorry to hear of his death. He touched many lives and will be remembered by so many people

It has truly saddened my heart to hear of the passing of such an excellent teacher and a incredibly wonderful man. I had Mr. Walker last semester and just graduated this December and my experience in his class was unlike any other at Grand Valley, I waited 2 years to finally get in one of his classes and that one class changed my whole view of the Criminal Justice system. I feel my world has been further enriched and blessed to have known such a man. I am glad to have had him as a professor....

I was privileged to have Dr. Walker as my CJ teacher last semester. I will truly miss him for his unique teaching style, his hilarious comments and stories, and his care for his students. Many teachers could learn from Dr. Walker what teaching is all about. Thanks for making learning fun.

To the Walker Family,
I was deeply saddened to hear of Dr. Walker's passing. I was enriched by his teaching and enjoyed his classes at GVSU. He was a great person, who helped me to choose my career path.
