Not sure what to say?

Mr. Wallenhorst was not just my history teacher; he was a beacon of care and kindness in a challenging time of my life. High school presented many obstacles for me, but his class was a sanctuary-a place of safety and support. I flourished academically in Mr. Wallenhorst's class, and our conversations about current events and historical topics are moments I still look back on fondly. Mr. Wallenhorst was more than a teacher; he was a remarkable man whose impact extended far beyond the...

My warm memories begin working in the religion department and on senior retreat teams. Eileen and Jim met through a group of women of which I was a part. We put on a very crazy wedding shower for them. Later Jim guided my son Jeff and I in doing some remodel of my ancient kitchen. Jim was a knowledgeable carpenter who worked with kids building sets. I'll always think of him as "Mr. Morality." My heart goes out to Eileen and their family.

Precious in the eyes of the Lord is the death of his faithful ones. GOD's blessing on his family.

I'm sorry for your loss. He was a man of renowned intellect and a role for model for young adults. He will be sorely missed. Rest in Peace.

Dear Eileen and family,

My sister, "Cesca", called our brother Tim, he called our sister, Mary...then Mary called me last night with the sad news. I called you, Eileen, last night, and talked to your daughter. (I still have your name card that you gave to me several years ago.)I gave her my phone number, if you want to call me in the future. Memories of our childhood, with you, flooded back to me last night. From reading about Jim and from knowing you long ago and now, I can tell...

Matt, my sincere sympathy to you and your family on the death of your father. Please know that you are all in my prayers at this difficult time.

My deepest sympathy to Eileen and the entire Wallenhorst family. I met Jim at John Carroll University in the 70's and our paths continued to cross over the years. I know he was a passionate and dedicated teacher and I will always remember him as a real gentleman who always had a kind word and a genuine smile.
A great love for his family and his God as well as an unwavering faith was surely an example for his students, friends and family. Such a remarkable life...Safe home, Jim.

Rest in peace, my friend. We will see you again someday.

Dear Eileen, Children and Wallenhorst Family Members,

My deepest condolences for your great loss. May the God of all comfort sustain you now and in the days ahead. May your hearts soon be filled with wonderful memories of joyful times together as you celebrate a life well lived.

Eternal rest, grant unto him O Lord and let perpetual light shine upon him. May he rest in peace. May his soul and the souls of all the faithful departed, through the mercy of God, rest in peace....
