Not sure what to say?

m not just saying this~ he was the very best teacher I ever had!
He didnt put up with any bull.... in his classroom!

My condolences to the family. During this difficult time may you rely on God Almighty to comfort you.
Psalms 25:16,17

Mr. Wallis taught me ninth grade history at Jefferson Junior High in 1956-57. He made his classes incredibly interesting and was one of the best teachers I ever had. It was a privilege to have been one of his students.

Don't usually write on memorial walls, but have to make an exception for Mr. Wallis. I had him at Adams Jr. High, and he was simply the best. More history teachers like Mr. Wallis and a lot more students would know and enjoy a lot more history.

Mr Wallis meant so much to me. He was one of the most influential teachers I had in my years as a student in Grand Prairie Schools. He had a way of making learning history a remarkably fun experience.

What a great teacher! He made history come alive and sparked my interest in history. When was working his part-time job at the sears store at 6 flags mall, I would see him and tell him that it was HIS fault that I was now a poor history teacher! He would laugh and always say "welcome to the ranks of the poor". He will be remembered always for that laugh he had and the gleam in his eye as he taught us to love and understand history.

Coach Wallis was my mentor - he created a love for History. What an outstanding teacher and mentor. As one of his first students in 1967 at Adams, I was privileged to know him and love him for his insight into history. Fond memories of a wonderful person and teacher. :)

Coach Wallace was an inspiration to so many of us. He had the audacity to bring humor into the classroom and make History a fun subject. I remember cracking up as he would enthusiastically read from the parody "It All Started With Eve". I truly admired his talent so much that I, too, was inspired to be a History teacher. The first year I taught, I found "It All Started With Eve" and began the highest form of flattery - immitation. He was, certainly the Van Cliburn of educators. He even came...

I had the privilege to know such a great man. First I knew his mom. It was a great honor to take care of his mom, and later to take care of James in his last days. You will be missed.
