Jim and his wife Jackie and I go back to when Jim came to Houston in the mid 1980's. We both owned a town home in Bayou Bend. Jim and Jackie will always be remembered as a great friends. We spend a lot of time at the pool, having BBQ and share time. I had the pleasure of meeting Jim's parents Fred and Sue. In recent weeks, my wife Gena and I spent time with Jim helping him to grieve and heal the loss of his beloved wife Jackie. Jim was in a lot of pain. Jim will be dearly missed. Good bye Jim, rest in peace my friend. Harold W. (Harry) Romberg and Gena, Spring, Texas

Jim and I were friends. I introduced him to trash t.v., $1 store where he found great socks, small cafes that served authentic Mexican food and we called one place The Hole in the Wall..we developed our own language that completely tore apart the English language but, we were proud of it. He had my back in difficult situations. I was able to grant his last wish to visit a certain little country town that he and his late wife had loved. I will miss Jim for the rest of my life. I called him Yimmy and I was the Texas Diva. I will never meet another Yimmy because he was one of a kind. He knew how much affection I had for him. He took a piece of my heart that cannot be filled by anyone. I will always cherish our friendship and his memory.

No one could resist the allure of Jim´s brilliance, wit, creativity and unique experiences. I learned this past year what a talented writer he was as well, as many of you know. But the depth of his heart was his biggest gift to us all. God be with you, his dear family, in this time of great loss.
