James E. Wardlow

James E. "Jim" Wardlow, age 80, of Hot Springs Village passed away Tuesday, October 28, 2008 at a local Hot Springs hospital. He was born February 18, 1928 in Montrose, Iowa to Charles Henry Wardlow and Gladys Griswold Wardlow. He was a member of Christ of the Hills United Methodist Church of Hot Springs Village and a Shriner. He was a retired machinist and was formerly employed by Santa Fe Railroad, Alcoa, and Louis Stein. He is survived by: His wife of 63 years, Wanda Vanosdoll Wardlow of Hot Springs Village, AR 1 Son, James Wayne Wardlow and wife, Gail of Elmhurst, IL 3 Daughters, Juanita Lynn Wardlow and husband, Paul Trantina of Richmond British Columbia Canada Gail Annette Wardlow and husband, William Mitchell of Sioux Falls, SD Kay Adele Wardlow and husband, James Gerry of Yorkville IL 1 Brother, Robert Wardlow and wife, Mary of Rialto, CA 1 Sister, Phyllis Skog of Nederland, TX 1 Sister-in-law, Hazel Wardlow of Burlington, IA 10 Grandchildren, Kerrin Jacobson and husband, Jason Aaron Paul Trantina Brian Wardlow and wife, Patti Lisa Wardlow Christopher Trantina Scott Mitchell and wife, Kimberly Laura Wardlow Ryan Gerry and wife, Sarah Robyn Gerry-Rose and husband, Erik Lynda Gerry 2 Step-Grandchildren, Tyler Brusiewitz Rachael Shepherd and husband, Cam 3 Great-Grandchildren, Clara Ann Gerry Brock Wardlow Drew Wardlow He was preceded in death by his parents; 2 brothers, Theodore Wardlow and his wife, Roselea and Charles Wardlow; sister Myra Beetner and husband, Ray and a grandson, Jeffrey Mitchell. Funeral services are scheduled for 1:00 P.M. Thursday, October 30, 2008 at the Christ of the Hills United Methodist Church with Reverend Mike Morey officiating. Interment will be in CedarVale Cemetery. Visitation will be held Wednesday, October 29, 2008 from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Pallbearers are Scott Mitchell, Ryan Gerry, Jim Gerry, Bill Mitchell, Paul Trantina, Brian Wardlow, Christopher Trantina, Aaron Trantina, and Tyler Brusiewitz. Honorary pallbearer is Jim W. Wardlow. In lieu of flowers the family respectfully requests memorials be made to Christ of the Hills United Methodist Church, 700 Balearic Road, Hot Springs Village, Arkansas 71909 or the charity of your choice.
