Not sure what to say?

I worked for Jim and Nummie at PinePoint Maine for 15 yrs doing mostly carpentry and maintence on thier home. Jim was my role model friend and hero. He was quite a big tipper when I was able to go to lunch with him.I miss Jim and playing cards and talking with him.

My first golf lesson was from Jim Warga - what a truly great golf professional he was and a wonderful person. -Bill Haidinger

I worked for Jim at UMCC in Clifton, NJ from 1973 or 1974...and then worked for Johnny Heuser til 1997.
I was the first woman to work in a golf shop in NJ. Jim was kind enough to give me that opportunity.
He was a very special guy.

Back in Jamesburg, around 1959-60, I had the pleasure to know Mr. Warga and his wife Edith (Nummie) as I was a caregiver for Sue, Linda and AL. There were many fond memories of the family and our times together. Because of the "golf influence" I did go on to play golf for some years on a very amateur level and did surprisingly well. Mr. Warga would have enjoyed some of my stories and successes.
I would like to send my deepest sympathy to the various family members.

Linda, Sue and Al, yesterday I inadvertently came across Jim's obituary on the internet while searching for info about Nummie as an artist. Barb and I knew of Nummie's passing in '98 and we thought of Jim often since we now live on the west coast of Florida. We always wondered how he was doing. Our hearts go out to you and your families at the loss of such a great man. Having spent much of my life while growing up in and around Jim & Nummie's NJ home during the 30+ years that my dad was the...

My wife, Barbara, and I were saddened to learn of Jim's passing. I stumbled onto his obituary on the internet today. Growing up in NJ I spent many days at Jim and Nummie's home near Forsgate Country Club. It became my home away from home so to speak. My dad, Grover, was the caretaker for their NJ property for 30+ years. Grover passed away in October of 2010 at age 83. My brother, Rich, and I used to help Grover with every aspect of running the estate from pool care to mowing lawns to painting...

James L. Warga

The last time I visited Jim at Johan's place in April 2010, he was so depleted, it pained me to be with him. Physically, he was nothing of the powerful and tall man I remembered. Likewise, he didn't recognize me or remember how I connected to him in life. At the time, I said my personal goodbyes and assumed I would never see him again. Given our sometimes contentious relationship (he yelled at me a lot about stupid decisions I made playing gin rummy), I still harbored some bitterness. Then,...
