James passed away on Saturday, July 1, 2017. James was a resident of Louisiana. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday July 4 2017 at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Washington. Father Jared Suire will celebrate the Mass. Rite of Committal and interment will follow in Cedar Hill Cemetery in Washington. The Readings for the Mass will be done by Noah ''Lucy'' Wartelle and Mary Catherine Cramer. Visitation will be held from 2:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. on Monday July 3 2017 at the Lafond-Ardoin Funeral Home of Opelousas. On Tuesday visitation will continue from 8:00 a.m. until 9:30 a.m. A Rosary will be recited on Monday at 6:00 p.m. in funeral home.

I always thought of Mike as a solid, high-quality person. I do not ever remember anyone saying anything negative about him. He was lost far too early.
