Not sure what to say?

Jim was always encouraging the new communications staff of the PGA to reach higher in promoting the game, the PGA Member and the Association. His steady hand lives on in the history of the PGA of America.

Another of the real, old time newspaper people has left us and will be sorrowfully missed by all of us who had the pleasure of working with him. Jim Warters was a kind, talented man who touched so many during his successful, wide-ranging career that began with a Royal typewriter in 1953 and continued until his passing, leaving cherish memories to everyone he met.

It was a great pleasure to have known both Jim and Jackie Warters. I felt that Jim was a great watchdog for the industry, and worked so hard to elevate the game and its values.

It was my honor to be one of his many friends. He was one of the last of a special breed of golf journalists, and those who knew him, trusted him and his opinion.

May he and Jackie enjoy a nice round together in heaven.

JIM WON THE HOLE!!!

JIM, is my friend and mentor for over 25 years and will be deeply missed. We traveled and played golf with fellow golf writers at the GWAA events and had fun, talked about our families and how God wants his children to come home. Jim and I talked about what it took to be a good writer "SPEAK FROM THE HEART" Jim would say. Let's keep his mission glowing and flowing with his friends and family. He loved you ALL. Caddie on JIM.
