Dear Laurie, Jacqui and all of Jim's family,
I met Jim during an interview at TIAA in late-1977 and quickly came to know him at work and play. Jim lived life fully and included everyone around him in his joy. We had so many good times, great laughs, but certainly, not enough.
I will forever remember our great day of spring skiing at Killington, climbing days on rock and ice, partying in New York, usually at my apartment, and just talking.
I know now you...

I can't begin to imagine my life without you in it. We always knew we were there for each other no matter what. We were only a phone call away. I will miss you terribly. Be assured that I will continue to be there for La and Jacqui. Rest well Jimmy. You will always be in my heart and my mind is filled with wonderful memories. Love, your sister, Tutababe.

Please accept our sincere sympathy. We always enjoyed Jim's winning personality, quick wit, his big wins at the Hunt, the stories he shared revealing his serenity with the sea, and his love and endearment to you and Jacquie.
May you discover strength and comfort through cherished
Memories, family, and friends.,

We had joy, we had fun, we had seasons in the sun. We will miss your smiling face, your infectious laugh and your love of adventure. Rest in peace Jimmy in the knowledge that La and Jacqui are loved by all who know them.

Jim's warm, loving presence is greatly missed. Separation, though temporary, is painful. It's a comfort to know that he is enjoying a "Welcome Home" party now. We'll see you later, dear cousin. Love & prayers, Ron & Jo Hofsommer, Mountain Grove, Missouri

I worked with Jim for only a few short years. He was charming, fun, warm, and big-hearted. Losing him, at such a young age, is a great tragedy. I will think of him often. My sincere condolences to Laurie and Jackie.

Crossing the Bar - Tennyson
Sunset and evening star,
And one clear call for me!
And may there be no moaning of the bar,
When I put out to sea,
But such a tide as moving seems asleep,
Too full for sound and foam,
When that which drew from out the boundless deep
Turns again home.
Twilight and evening bell,
And after that the dark!
And may there be no sadness of farewell,
When I embark;
For...
