Dear Welch Family,

I am terribly sorry to hear of his loss.

We can take comfort from our Heavenly Father, remembering that he is the "Hearer of prayer" and wants to comfort us during difficult situations.

My prayers are with you.

Dear Jane and family, I had the privelege of knowing Jim through a support group in which he actively helped others, including myself - when I had cancer. Such a kind and gentle soul who really and truly cared about people. I know he will be dearly missed. He was missed when he moved away in '99. Wishing you peace through this painful time of transition.

Dear Jane,
On behalf of all of us at Baxter Community Center, we want to thank you. We are so grateful to God that part of the legacy Jim leaves the city of Grand Rapids is that more urban youth are catching the vision of hope. That vision is a beautiful sight. Please know that our thoughts and prayers are with you. We thank God for Jim's life on this side of heaven and for you for sharing him with so many others. With respect,

My deepest sympathy to his family.Jim and I didn't see each other that much but when we did we always had a great laugh
over some nonsensical piece of information.Jim was a class act.I'll
miss him.

Jimmy was a great guy. I always felt better when I knew he was running things. I am sorry that he has left us. He will be remembered. He was my friend many years ago. Fred Winters EGR Class of 65
