Not sure what to say?

My memories of Jim are among the stories I would tell my own children and now my grandchildren.

As one of the younger Westbrook's, I would spend a few weeks each summer with my father's side of the family in Texas. Jim always found time to include me in activities. He made me feel like I belonged and put me instantly at ease with his good hearted nature. I don't ever recall a time he used my real name. To him I was "Half-Pint". To me he was "Jimmy", my "Big Brother Cousin" with...

I remember Jim from my stint in "the Cliff" as a rookie sergeant back the early 90's. He had a great attitute, and was just about the funniest guy who ever wore the blue. Condolences to his family and friends.

My brother Steve and I met Jim while both of us played slow pitch softball for Rosemont Christian Church in 1975. Jim was the jokester on the team. He kept everyone in stitches while waiting to bat. When Jim decided to start a career in law enforcement his happy go lucky stile followed him there. It still is a shock when one of your friends pass on. I know Jim is looking down on us today. Jim will be truly missed by all of the Rosemont Christian Church 1975 softball team.

This is so odd...
In January, I believe, my wife got an email from Jim asking if she was married to Kevin, my brother. We
responded several times but never got a responce back. I just learned of his passing from an email, from my brother. My mother sent him the
obituary. I have had no contact with
Jim since high school. We originally
meet at Rosemont Christian Church.

I haven't seen my cousin, Jim, for quite some time. However, I remember him vividly as "Jimmy", a funny, goofy boy. As a girl I had to watch myself so I didn't follow him into whatever mischief he had on his mind during our annual family trip toTexas. In my memory, he was Dennis the Menace personified, and just as lovable. Clearly this boyish "charm" stayed with him into adulthood. Based on some of the comments on this Legacy Page, I can see that others enjoyed these traits as much as I did....

I was so very sorry to hear of Jim's passing. I have many wonderful memories of Jim as a little boy. The memories I will treasure the most are all the pesky, little brother things he did to me and Roy Ann. He had that twinkle in his eye...from day one. It's obvious he was so loved and well respected, by so many.

My prayers go to Jim's family and friends. I graduated from Kimball '73 with him and he was known as a happy person who knew how to cheer people up.
Blessings,

Jim was always a bright spot at all family gatherings. He will be greatly missed by his Uncle Sonny and Aunt Margaret and the rest of the family. We love you, Jim.
