Not sure what to say?

James Our Dearest Friend,
You were not only a dearest friend but you were also considered a part of our family, like a brother. You and Carole, Brenda and I have really had some good times together, those memories will never be forgotten. I will never forget our good times growing up together and our good old school days. 50 years of a life together. Hey Man, I will never forget you. We love you and will miss you dearly my good friend.
Opal, Stacie, Jimmy, Terry please let us know...

There have been many a time in my training that I prayed that you would get well so that we could run a marathon together. I remember seeing you and Carole at the Shamrock event in 2008 and as I stopped to talk to you and Carole, you had mentioned that your daughter had finished her first half marathon and how proud you were of her. I still have the gift you gave to me for my 50th birthday of the running figure, and that gift still stands on my desk at work today. I know I won’t get to run...

My Dearest James; 13 1/2 years I have spent loving you. We traveled to so many exciting places; had a great time camping with John and Brenda; boating with our friends in Virginia Beach, hiking to the top of the mountain and wondering how in the world I am going to get down, biking on the board walk and through parks, dancing to our favorite songs. I will miss those blue eyes and smile and those private talks and plans we had made for one day. (The white chapel in Las Vegas was pretty...

James used to stay in my garage apartment when he would run the Shamrock Marathon and other marathons. Carole and I would go to the end of the street and cheer him on and think that he was "nuts" putting himself through the torture of it all. He was so proud when he would finish and so were all of his friends and family. What a trooper and good man. I fondly remember him pulling into my street with his top down on a balmy summer or spring night with Carole in his red convertible. He...

James was a sheer joy to know and a genuine gentleman of all gentlelmen! I was fortunate to have met him at Great Neck Middle School and have him in attended at our daughter's wedding seven years ago ! He will be remembered with great love and fondness! The only comfort we can all take is knowing that he is now cradled in the arms of Jesus! Pamela + Rick Schlegel

I am so thankful that I had the opportunity to visit with your Dad a few months ago. We need to make a point of keeping in touch more often. Life is so precious!
