Not sure what to say?

My sister and I traveled to WVA. this past weekend to gather with family and fulfill my dad's wish. He wanted his ashes scattered on our family's land in Keystone. During the ceremony my Uncle Kenny, who is 16 years younger than my dad!, shared with us memories of my dad's visits to and from his travels at sea. He said he was about 8 yrs.old and remembers my dad's special way of saying goodbye to the family from the train station. The steam engine would hiss and groan to a start... He'd say...

I will miss you and was glad to have you as brother, will keep you in my heart.

Although I did not get to meet you in person as much as liked to you are still in my heart. I will always remember the wonderful stories my mom has told me about when they were little kids. Between the fishing trips, camping, and visiting many places with them I know you were a great father.

Thank you for your service in the Navy and taking good care of my mom while you still could.

I love you grandpa

Dear Family,
