Not sure what to say?

So grateful to have had my father's baby brother, Uncle Jimmy, in my life. His eyes twinkled when he laughed, and his laugh sounded just like my father's and brought North Carolina back to me. I was also inspired by the wonderful family he built--a strong marriage and wonderful children as creative, interested, and inspired as he was.

To Mimi and the kids-
Jim and I were childhood friends in North Wilkesboro. We were part of Annie's crowd touring historic places and hearing her hold forth about art and inspiration. At the time, Jim chafed a bit under this tutelage, but as he said later "As the twig is bend, so grows the tree". As you know, we both became architects. I remember your wedding reception and how you began your long journey together. I did not know until yesterday Jim had died. I am sorry not to have remained...

Rest in peace, Jim.

To Mimi and family, We were so sorry to hear of Jim's illness and passing. He was a lovely man. In our few meetings we enjoyed his humor and friendly way. With sympathy, Julie and John Cottage

So sorry to hear about Jimmy's illness and death. I had no idea that he was ill when we e-mailed a few months ago about our ancestry, and am sorry we didn't get to talk more. May each of you be comforted and lifted with each happy memory of him that will visit you in the months and years to come.

I am very sad to hear this; my deepest sympathies go out to all his family.

I'm so sorry to hear of Jim's passing. Although I never met my cousin Jim I remember my father speaking of him often. I do have many fond memories of Aunt Annie and N. Wilkesboro. Our love and prayers go out to the family. God bless you. Jim Finley & family

I am saddened to hear of my cousin Jim's untimely passing. Please know how very sorry I am. He was a good person, kind and gentle in spirit. May the Lord hold him safe in His everlasting arms. God's peace to all during this time of sorrow.

Dear Mimi and Family, so sorry to hear of Jim's passing. My thoughts and prayers are with you. I cannot attend his service on Tuesday due to a previous commitment. I will keep you all in my prayers.
